Meet Jamario "Tyrone" Johnson, a law enforcement pro with over 20 years of service under his belt. He kicked off his career in the jail (2005-2009), then took to the streets as a patrol deputy (2009-2017), worked his way up to patrol corporal (2017-2022), and is now a Juvenile Sergeant, shaping young minds and keeping our community safe.

Growing up in a family with law enforcement roots; his father, Lt. Willie B. Johnson, served over 30 years with the police department, Tyrone was destined for this life. When he’s not patrolling the streets, you’ll likely find him living his need for speed with his love for cars and drag racing.

Tyrone's dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed. He’s been honored as Officer of the Quarter in the jail and Officer of the Year in patrol. But it's not all work for him, he’s also been a passionate volunteer with Operation Arresting Hunger for years, giving back to the community he’s served so well.

A man who truly knows the meaning of service, both on and off the clock!

(You never see Tyrone without a smile on his face. He truly lights up the room. )

The OAH Team is fueled by coffee, community service, and a deep belief that nobody should go hungry. When they are not coordinating OAH projects, they are probably organizing something, encouraging someone, or convincing volunteers that yes, they do have time to help!
