Kelli Leary: Professional Database Whisperer, Community Cheerleader, Christmas Elf Extraordinaire & Treasurer for Operation: Arresting Hunger
Born in sunny Pensacola, Florida, but raised on sweet tea and Southern charm in Georgia, Kelli Leary is the powerhouse behind the names, numbers, streets, and maps at Houston County 911—also known as “the woman who keeps the chaos organized, one database at a time.” By day, she wrangles data with the precision of a tech-savvy cowgirl. By night (and many weekends), Kelli serves as the Treasurer for Operation: Arresting Hunger, a local nonprofit dedicated to feeding families and spreading joy throughout the community. For the past eight years, she’s been a driving force behind the organization’s success—coordinating donations, planning events, and helping ensure every child experiences the magic of the holidays. “It’s like being Santa,” she says, “if Santa had a spreadsheet and a barcode scanner.” Kelli’s also proud to be a wife of 24 years to her high school sweetheart—though their love story spans 34 years of laughter, teamwork, and the occasional eye roll. Together, they’ve raised two amazing (and fully adulting!) kids. She considers surviving parenthood a badge of honor—complete with minor emotional scarring and a strong sense of humor. Whether she’s feeding the community, managing records, brightening Christmas mornings, or just labeling everything in sight, Kelli brings passion, personality, and a touch of sass to everything she does. Her life motto? “If you can’t fix it with laughter or a label maker, it’s not worth fixing.”
