Veronica proudly serves as the President of the Operation Arresting Hunger Committee, where she leads with heart, hustle, and a deep love for her community. By day, she is a 911 Lieutenant keeping things under control. By night (and most weekends), she is organizing fundraisers, rallying volunteers, and making sure families in Houston County have the support they need.
Veronica began volunteering with OAH 8 years ago, but her support started at the very beginning when Kevin Taylor created the organization. For her, it is deeply personal. She grew up with very little, and she knows firsthand what it feels like to go without. That is why she is so passionate about making sure no family goes hungry on Thanksgiving and no child wakes up on Christmas wondering if there will be gifts under the tree. In her words, “Children should never have to worry about where food or Christmas is coming from.” She is also a proud boy mom to three amazing sons – Austin, Jacob, and Jaxon – and is about to take on a new role she is beyond excited for: Grandma to baby Liam, arriving soon! 💙 Whether she is loading food boxes, wrapping gifts, or dancing at a car wash to DJ Mixmaster T’s beats, Veronica brings energy, compassion, and purpose to everything she does. “I am happy to help my community and so proud to work alongside these amazing people who work so hard for Houston County.”

AuthorThe OAH Team is fueled by coffee, community service, and a deep belief that nobody should go hungry. When they are not coordinating OAH projects, they are probably organizing something, encouraging someone, or convincing volunteers that yes, they do have time to help! Archives
